Andrés Pérez Parada is a Uruguayan analytical–environmental chemist and Associate Professor at the Eastern Regional University Center (CURE) of Universidad de la República (UdelaR), where he is part of the GDMEA group. His work focuses on emerging contaminants in water and soils—pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics—using LC–MS/MS (liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry) and HRMS (high-resolution mass spectrometry). He is a member of Uruguay’s National Researchers System and collaborates widely with international networks.
