Francesca Scandellari is the head of the stable isotope laboratory at U-Series S.R.L. in Bologna, Italy. She graduated at the University of Bologna, Italy, in Biological Science and she specialized in Applied Genetics. During this period, she worked for one year at the University of California at Berkeley. She gained her PhD in Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Torino, Italy after which she started a 4- years postdoc at the University of Bologna followed by a 2 years postdoc at the University of New Hampshire at Durham. Once back to Italy, she moved to the Free University of Bolzano as fixed term researcher, a position that she recently left to explore new horizons. She had been working in the field of stable isotopes since 2004.
